Working with Intrepid Travel - On Intrepid’s first women’s only expedition trip through Kenya to empower women through tourism.

My favourite assignment of 2019 was Intrepid Travel’s first women’s expedition; a week of discovery of Kenya’s vibrant culture + wildlife. Guided by local leader Becky and driver Darlene, we met with local Kenyan women (and men) and learned of their inspiring stories - the struggles and triumphs in pioneering sustainable and community-based eco-tourism. We laughed together, and cried, we danced, we shared our stories and left with our hearts full to the brim. I am very grateful to experience these moments, to work with Intrepid and to be part of seeing this first trip come to life.
