Mexico

“Tiempo es lo que menos tenemos y más prometemos.” - Care, Amantas rooftop, Oaxaca, 2019.

Sundrenched days under the Mexican sun.

Although a lot of the images shared in this folder are from the Yucatan peninsula, Mexico is a country I have visited multiple times. From coast to coast, eating cacti burritos and copious amounts of guacamole, that one New Year Eve where we danced on tables and fell asleep under the trees, sleeping in cabins deep in mountains of Oaxaca and wandering the cobble lines streets filled with vibrant colours. Long and windy drives, followed by nights of mezcal. Days wandering the museums of CDMX, exploring volcanoes and learning Spanish. Soaking it all in.

Humid, sticky and sweet, Mexico is a place I return to and often experience without the desire to capture.

Pictured here is an attempt to share the moments in the lush Mayan jungle; a place where the jungle meets the sea.

Images captured in 2019 & 2020.  Images of me by Ryan Field, Carmen Huter & Anthony K Do.
