Switzerland

“I feel like I have been waiting my whole life for today.” – Melissa, Day One. February 26, 2020.

The last foreign land I ventured to pre-pandemic. Where I would find myself “stuck” for 7 months; slow, watching the seasons change.

And so, we were, tucked away in a postcard-perfect village Gstaad. Nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps, one front-row seat to one of the most incredible ensembles of nature on this planet. As if straight from a storybook, the sentinel-like giants blanketed in snow dramatically tower over the pine-lined valleys and hillsides of cosy gingerbread-style chalets below. A picturesque, immaculate alpine enclave oozing charms of deep nature and all the luxuries of humankind.
